The new chronograph features the distinctive oval shaped case seen in all the Millenary watches. Crafted from 18 carat pink gold and measuring an impressive 47 by 42 mm the case has a satin-brushed finish - with polished sections on the bezel, oval chronograph pushers, and the tops of the strap lugs. The Audemars Piguet watch has a screw-down medallion case-back made from 18 karat pink gold which displays the Millen logo in relief. The case allows for a water resistance of up to 20 meters and has been fitted with a sapphire crystal to protect the dial.
The signature two-zone dial of the Millenary collection is well complimented by the chosen color scheme for the new chronograph watch. The outer section of the dial is a beautiful brown and is offset with the Arabic numerals markers for the tachymeter scale in a striking blue color. The black central section of the dial which features applied rose gold Roman hour markers and the white chronograph sub-dials (12-hour and 30-minute chronograph counters, seconds sub-dial) are all strecthed and distorted to better fit the oval shape of the watches design. There is also a small date window between 4 and 5 o'clock.
The Audemars Piguet Millenary Chronograph watch features a self-winding movement the Caliber 2385. It is made up of more than 300 hand-finished parts but still remains a remarkably slim movement. Capable of measuring time intervals within 1/6 second, the balance wheel operates at a frequency of 21,600 vibrations per hour. The movement allows for a power reserve of up to 40 hours. The over-all look it completed with a brown hand-sewn crocodile leather strap with contrasting blue stitches. The 18 carat pink gold folding clasp has been shaped to resemble Audemars Piquets initials.
